I can reccommend Bali Adventure rafting. It's run by an expat aussie with balineese guides . The one we had on our raft spoke good english which he proved by breaking out in a chorus of row row row your boat, just as we were entering a set of rapids! The group picks you up from your hotel and takes you up to the Ayung river. After a three hour trip down the river which includes nice quiet stretches of river where you see villagers going through their daily routine, you reach a fantastic restaurant on top of a hill with great views. Lunch and a shower is waiting for you at the top of a steep climb.
All in all it is a great day .They have water proof bags for cameras and the like. We stopped a number of times to photograph the beautiful scenery and have a romp under one of the many ICY COLD waterfalls that feed into the river.
