Hi Pat,
The Intan at Legian is on the corner of Jalan Pantai Kuta and Jalan Melasti across the road from the beach at Legian. It has 24 hour room service, IDD phones, fridge, about 3 restaurants including a pizza joint, swim up bar in the pool. The place is only about 10 years old, maybe 15. Whilst I haven't been in the rooms, if the lobby is any indication then they should be top class. I suppose the big advantage is that you are close to all the action.
