I think Club Med is a kind of strange place to stay in Bali; the "idea" behind Club Med resorts is to provide lots of all inclusive activities along with food & drink on the premises so visitors don't have to leave the resort to find them for themselves. While this is a great idea in some places, why go to Bali unless you want to explore a bit and discover the culture and the locals? Also why pay all that money for all inclusive food & activities when you are staying somewhere where this is available easily and cheaply? Club Meds are also known for fairly basic accommodation, which is another reason now to stay there in Bali where beautiful accommodaiton is available reasonably cheaply. I also wouldn't particularly want to stay somewhere where they sell day passes to lots of other people.
A forum posting late last year said that the rooms at Club Med were tired & gloomy and in need of a face-lift, although the resort itself was OK. I think you could do a lot better unless you really need all those inclusive watersports every day.
