I understand the concern there is about drinking water in countries like Bali, but just to put this into perspective, We have holidayed in a well known Queensland island and assumed all was well with the water because we had not been advised otherwise.
We all suffered a nasty food poisoning from badly prepared chicken, but worse was my 9 month old baby, who, being on formula milk, we used the tap water to make it up. He suffered horrendous diarhea (ever had a child where the diarea escaped the nappy and dripped down the high chair and onto the floor!! According to the Doctor on the island, the water supply had GIARDIA and that my baby was the second victim that day! He is now permanenelty lactose intolerant (he is 9 years of age)because the giardia killed of part of his bowel lining, and he gets occasional diarhea. So - just be careful wherever you go.
