There are about several restaurants in the hotel, including japanese, meditteranian, seafood and casual. We did not eat at any of the specialised restaurants (like the Japanese one) although we checked out the menu's. The Japanese (which I do hear is excellent) main course will cost the equivalent to about $18 - $20 Australian dollars.
We preffered to eat at the casual restaurant by the pool and had some very good meals there. We had during our stay some good wood overn pizzas (60,000 Rp), Indonesian noodle dishes (45,000 Rp), Hamburgers, Vegetarian dishes & pasta. Generally it was priced OK (in Australian terms, but expensive for Bali). The 20% tax added onto the bill for service chanrge is a pain.
About 200m from the entrance to the hotel is a very, very good Indonesian restaurant called La Indonesia. I would recommend a visit to this restaurant even if you don't stay at the hotel. I had the best curry I have ever had there. The service is good, meal size good also. Everything is so cheap here - we had 3 courses each including a few bottles of beer and it only cost about 10 - 15 Australian dollars each. They have a guitar player who will sing and seranade you, which adds to the atmosphere. Just a tip, if you are going at night, take some RID or aeroguard with you to keep the mossies away.
We did not eat at any other restaurants in Jimbaran, although every one says that the fish markets are excellent on the beach (about a 5 - 10 minute walk along the beach from the hotel).
Other good restaurants that I would recommend to you are:-
Poppies in kuta - excellent meals/menu and good hygiene (Very cheap).
La Lucciola @ Seminyack - Great atmosphere, with OK food (nothing flash however).
We went to mades warung in kuta, but were not very impressed and my partner got sick from it.
If you go to UBUD ( and I would recommend that you do, as it is a fabulous retreat for shopping and relaxation) I would give my highest recommendation to three restaurants there.
Firstly, the restaurant where we stayed (Puri Kamandalu hotel) was by far the best dining experience that we had on our trip, and the food & presentation rivals anything that we have experienced in Australia. We had 2 courses each and beers and I think the bill only came to about $40 Aust. And the food was excellent. I had a mezze plate for starters followed by a chicken dish. The restaurant is quite romantic as it overlooks a valley/river.
Secondly I would recommend the "Dirty Duck" restaurant which is located near the monkey forrest. Dont be put off by the name, it is very clean and has hosted celebrities including Mick Jagger. It is open for lunch & dinner and is very cheap. It does not look much from the outside, but if you go in, sit at the back as the restaurant opens onto a big rice field which is a wonderful view.
Thirdly, cafe wayan was a place where we had lunch and it was again excellent and cheap.
