Hello Barb. Have to agree meridian tour is a true travel bargain.
We opted for a couple extra days in singapore at the end of our trip.
Singapore is a huge world class city, I would suggest taking a city tour to get an overview and some of the history. It's probably the best bang for your buck on such a short stay. You can then return to anything that really facinates you. We had planned to go to sentosa but everyone we talked to described it as theme park like. We ended up passing. Main shopping is on Orchard. But in reality there is shopping everywhere. Electronics and expensive watches are a bargain compared to home. We enjoyed the night safari, very unique. Little India and chinatown are well worth seeing. One should really have a singapore sling at raffles' long bar. It's an expensive indulgence, But how many times are you going to be in singapore. Singapore is a safe city to wander around in, day or night. We enjoyed it, but after four days we were ready to leave.
P.S. Anybody who is staying a bit longer may want to consider a day trip into Malasia. The scenery on the way up to Malacca is quite spectacular.
