Haggling

"Haggling" (I darent use any of those 'B' words) .
The things I found useful were as follows:
- Smile
- NEVER haggle unless you intend to buy
- If they agree a price you have offered then it would be VERY wise to buy the item
- When haggling - use a low voice - they dont like other customers hearing you talking them down
- Often walking away will work, and if not, just go back a few minutes later and offer a bit more
- mention that the guy down the road has it for less
- say "sing la pis" (not sure of the spelling) but its pronounced "sing-la-piece" and means something to the effect that you have no money left (always lightens the atmosphere and gives them a laugh too)
- be fair and dont haggle over 10 cents
- keep your sense of humour and dont be shy
