$100 Aissi dollars is a good amount to change. Liked by the changers as maths is easy - easy for you to work out and write down before approaching their desk, too. They like fairly new crisp notes.
It is a thick wad but not unmanageable. I changed $100 each time and stored it in a zip compartment of my travellers money bag (thingo around the neck) for safe keeping til I could sort out the different denominations of notes in private.
