I was in Bali last November and the weather was just wonderful, hot and sunny in the day and raining ar night, or hugh storms at night. There are some great restaurants, Kori in Kuta also Bagus on the beach at jimberan is a must.
Talk to the locals they will help you and go everywhere in a Bali taxi (blue) they are very cheap and very reliable.
