Ferry to Lombok

Hi --- does anyone know how long it takes to get to Lombok via Ferry? We'll be leaving from Candidasa for Lombok. Is it better to fly or take the ferry?

I thought that by the time we drove to the a'port it might be easier to take the ferry.
