In October 1992 all over Indonesia, I would say all over south east asia NO MORE illegal copies. I was in Thailand and Bali around that time when the custom burn every single things tapes, videotapes,etc..etc.Everything is legal now.!
Yes, all the garments in Bali at least have a tag 'made in Indonesia'.
You can buy a decent swimwear from surf shop or just from the beach.
Most of them are rayon or cotton.
Just for your info:
You are allowed to bring up to cdn $500.00 tax free into the country if you're away more than 72 hours.
