When I was in Bali last september we were stopped two times.
The first time we have rented a car and we have been stopped near
the oil raffinery at the south cost. The policeman told us that he is
collecting foreign currencies :-) He showed us 20 Marks. We had a longer discussion but we didn't gave him money. Het let us go after 20 minutes without paying ...
The second time we rented a car with local driver when we went to the Mother temple. Same thing we were stopped by the police and the driver
had to pay 5000 or to wait for 2 hours ... He paid ...
