We have a regular driver who has worked for around 15-20 of our friends over the past 15 months. To give you an example of howgood he is a couple of young girls from my work travelled to Bali last July. This was their first trip away from home so they really needed looking after. When Wayan picked them up on their first day, he had bought them supplies of bottled water until they could get supplies for themselves. When he wasn't dropping them at their hotel at night, he would ring them to see that they were safe.
His name is Wayan Seniasa and I cannot speak highly enough about him - He is an excellent driver and he is the most honest person you will meet. Nothing is too much trouble for him and he bends over backward to help.
He charges 200,000 per day from 10am - 6pm and when we are there we always give him a daily tip (which you must specify is for him) - as his boss receives most of the money earned. He earns a monthly wage equiv to A$25 per month + 10% of his earnings.
