Bali is 13 hours ahead of NYC(Eastern Standard Time). Most of the US will move one hour forward on the first sunday in April in observe of daylight savings time. As a result, Bali will then be only 12 hours ahead of NYC and if you travel from NYC to Bali, you do not even have to change your watch when you arrive after 20 plus hours on a plane.
