Hi to all that were attracted to the title. Three of us a going off te Bali on the 12th April, my wife and I for the 7th time and my sister's first. I expect that we will have a lot to report on when we return, but, to be honest, I am terrified to post anything that may offend. I read the forum every day, contribute regularly and get a great deal of joy and information from it. Is it just my imagination or has this forum lost direction since Jane's posting?? Then there was Terry's. If anybody has the gumption to say what he/she feels about Bali and this strikes a unpopular chord with some forumers, all hell breaks loose. As I stated, we've been to Bali on several occasions, and know it warts 'n' all, and may probably criticise something or someone. Is this going to make the sky fall on me??
When I was young and immature (during the 'Jane' saga) I was sucked into responding to the flaming by others, which basically made me no better than the original flame-throwers... . I have since stood back and watched, sometimes in horror at what transpires, feeling sorry for those that post their true feelings and even sorrier for those that respond in the manner which is becoming more and more familiar.
What in hell is going on?? Think before you speak (type) etc or you'll turn people away from this wonderful forum in droves.
Food for thought, maybe!!??
