Shopping wasn't my favourite pass-time owing to the fact I like to check out all my options and there is farrrr tooooo manyyyy choices!!! She's bound to be so confused and will see hundreds of dresses she'll like, especially if she's after something exotic. If she's a buy-off-the-rack type, she'll be fine, but bear in mind the Indonesians are a petite race and most stuff is made accordingly. As you questioned, there are plenty of tailors around so that's also an option.
