Before loading ANY software onto your computer, it's a good idea to run an up-to-date virus scanner on it. This may prevent problems for you. If the software you bought was buggy, that's unfortunate. If it came with viruses, that's even worse (but not the end of the world). The software I've purchased in Bali in the last few months has been working flawlessly.

There are some incredible software bargains to be had in Bali. If you take appropriate care, you should be OK (even 'though you might be breaking a law somewhere by buying/installing it).
