Most NTSC games cost 15,000 R each (A$ 2.72 / depending on exchange rate at the time), PAL games cost a little more. In some areas like Denpassar and Kuta they are much cheaper, compared to places like Nusa Dua or Ubud, where the asking price may be 25,000/ 30,000R in some shops. Please note that your playstation still needs to be converted for PAL games when you get back home, and be careful as the "chips" sold there for you to convert yourself are not always reliable.

Mataharri Department Stores ( Denpassar,Kuta ) sell the games, as well as street shops. Aside from the current favorites like Tomb Raider I,II,III; Crash Bandicoot I,II,III; ABE'S Exoddus; Monopoly; Need for Speed III; Formula 1; some of the games I don't think have even hit Australia yet, i.e. A Bugs Life, Rugrats, Small Soldiers various soccer- Fifa 99/ racing games- Nascar 99, etc. There is certainly variety, depending on where you go. Opposite Mataharri in Denpassar there is a MacDonalds Restaurant, on the same level there was a small stall selling games for 10,000R but they had only a small range to choose from. The Mat. store in Kuta had independent stalls out the front,on the ground floor, and upstairs in the music department, each one displaying up to 60 games. Music stores along Jl. Bakung Sari in Kuta had quite significant collections as well.

Good luck.
