The Hotel complex it's self is not "huge" but charming and spread out. Large open air type dining area for Dinners/Brekky and also had an eating area around the pool. The pool was very refreshing - temp was "cool" - not warm. Rooms are very nice (Std rooms arn't large), but aircon works great, minibar fridge, T.V., Etc. We found this hotel to be very peaceful with no real noise from other rooms/guests - in other words you sleep soundly with out being woken by elephant footsteps and roudy voices!.
Situated on Monkey Forest Road it is only a 5 - 10 minute walk to some lovely resturants (2-3 of the good one's mentioned on this forum). Found the price of drinks to be quite expensive - But we bought our own and chilled them in the fridge. Quality of food was great and the staff would really go out of there way to make sure you were enjoying yourself and were comfortable.
Every couple of nights they would "blast" the gardens with "mozzie smoke" - (Smelt more like diesel) but did the trick - no mozzie attacts at all. I loved staying there and definately plan on returning.
