We stayed in both these hotels last July. The Champlung Sari was very nice with good facilities. We had adjoining rooms for my children aged 10 and 12. They thought it was great. The best thing about staying here was that is very close to the monkey forest. It is well worth getting up early and going into the forest to see the ranger feed the monkeys before anyone else arrives. A tip when feeding the monkeys is to separate the banana fingers from the hand before entering the forest area. The monkeys are clever enough to take the complete hand of bananas from you. Don't be frightened of the monkeys, they are great fun. Just enjoy!

Segara Village is a little old. We looked at several rooms before we accepted one. Some had a very stale smell, some the airconditioning didn't work properly etc. The staff were not very friendly or kind to my children. Other guests had the attitude that children should be seen and not heard when playing in the pool. It is a good location, close to everything. But maybe look at the Santrian Hotels, others write on this forum that these hotels are quite good.

We also stayed in Tuban at Patra Jasa. We had the best time here. The whole place is great for kids. They have a real kids club, so you can go shopping while the kids have fun. The rooms are very spacious. And the staff were extremely friendly, and just loved the kids. Even when they weren't working or the kids were just playing in the pool they staff would have fun with the children. I highly recommend this place.

My kids said the highlight of their holiday was the elephant trekking at Taro North.

Have fun.
