Well, firstly you will love Sanur because it is a beautiful place...quite different from Kuta...and you will have no problem finding taxis or hotels at 8pm. the people there are pretty eager to make money and i think they will provide taxi services easily. when my boyfriend and i were in Sanur (Jan 10th) we had travelled from Ubud in search of hotels in Sanur. we went hotel shopping from about 5pm till 10pm until we found a room to our satisfaction. it's a good idea to ask to see the rooms before you agree to anything. prices are negotiable and bargaining is quite necessary even in the more expensive hotels. i'm not too sure if bargaining is allowed in 5 Star hotels like Hyatt. but hotels are very easy to find as they are across the road from one another. the hotel that we stayed at was Hotel Sativa Sanur Cottages (near Hyatt). Very comfortable and about $US 50 for a double deluxe room (after a bit of negotiating with the manager). service was fantastic and the pool and rooms were of western style. if you're worried about how to get to hotels....don't be because drivers pretty much know the whereabouts of the hotels. good luck and enjoy your stay.
