We stayed at 2 reasonable hotels in Nusa Dua at either end of a month long trip last September. We stayed at the Bali Gardenia and found it exceptional value for money but too far away from any action. Even to go out for a meal meant a taxi ride. If you want a quiet place to stay and relax then consider Gardenia. At the end of our trip we chose the Hotel Bualu. It is and older hotel, in fact the oldest in Nusa Dua, close to the Hilton and a short shuttle ride to the beach and Galleria shopping center. What we really liked is it's proximity to Bualu Village. You can walk out of the hotel and along the village street to shops and restaurants. See our trip report and photos if you are still interested.
