The Hotel Prawita is very much in the 'heart' of Kuta. The address is 63 Jalan Legian, Kuta. 80361. Bali. Indo. Ph:(0361) 751.838, 752.464. Fax: (0361) 751.838. I wouldn't suggest booking before you go, either yourself or through an agent, it is sooooo much dearer that way. I walked in off the street, they quoted me around Rp200,000/night/per person (there was 2 of us). After gentle haggling we got a room for 5 nights at Rp100,000/night/per person. At that time it was A$17.00/night/each. I don't like Kuta at all, but my friend did, so we stayed for a week. This Hotel is on the main street in Kuta (Jalan Legian), just up from Bemo corner. It really was a treasure. Being on the main drag one would expect noise noise noise, but no no no, what a surprise! They had the most gorgeous rooms, air-conditioned, very clean, lovely gardens, a fantastic pool with swim-up bar, all right up the back away from the maddening Kuta chaos. They also have a front restaurant and bar (which faces the main street) which was quite expensive. Great BBQ Seafood cooked, while you watch nightly!
If you want to stay in Kuta for around that price range, this is a great place.
