We've just returned from a celebrating my son's 2nd birthday in Bali. It's a great place to give your child a treat: the Balinese respect and love infants. We stayed in a wonderful hotel near Ubud called Bunga Permai --- very cheap ($40), very deluxe, very friendly. And we did a number of wonderful things all over the island that took us away from the tourist Bali of sun, sand and beer into a wonderful, green, warm-hearted paradise.
