Nusa Dua is beautiful. I would not stay anywhere else. You don't have to worry what you're eating or drinking and the people are lovely. We travelled all over Bali and yes there are some beautiful places to see, but I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else but Nusa Dua.
We stayed at the Putri Bali and another one I can't remember the name of, but they were both excellent. The "Galleria" at Nusa Dua has excellent restaurants which are only a 3 to 4 minute walk away and good shopping, a bit more expensive than Kuta, but no hassles whatsoever!
