This is the fax I received from Merpati when I wrote to them regarding my concerns I don't have a scanner but this is how it reads.
Dear Miss Robinson
Thank you for your fax of 09 December, 1998 regarding your forthcoming Bali Holiday.
I apologise for the delay in responding to your fax but as you will realise, an airline office is an extremely busy place at this time of the year.
I attended a meeting in Jakarta last Friday with our principals, i.e. Senior Management of Merpati Nusantara Airlines for a regular Management and Strategy Planning Session. At no time was there any thought nor indication from any parties regarding the discontinuance of the Perth/ Denpasar/ Perth Merpati Airlines Services.
Accordingly, I cannot understand why you have heard comments and rumours from Travel Agents regarding the stability of Merpati Airlines.
I look forward to welcoming you on board our flight on 13 February 1999.
This fax was signed by The Manager WA Greenway Air Services Pty Ltd GSA for Merpati Nusantara Airlines, Perth.
As I have said in previous post fortunatley I changed to Garuda but there are many people who did not. This is the second time this has happened with the Perth Denpasar Service Judging by yesterdays report in the West Australian, Merpati did know that there Aircraft lease was up I will let forumers be the judge of whether you think they have been fair to there customers or not.
