We had rented a villa in Bali -- not from PVL who run this site but directly from a villa owner. Main reason was the better price.
However, when we arrived, the staff was not what was promised, the villa was run down, the food terrible and not clean. And we could not reach the owner who lives somewhere in the US and did not respond to our e-mails.
After two days we called PVL, and they showed us some other villas which all were much better, and we moved to a beautiful, well-run house with excellent staff and service. The PVL office arranged some unique outings for us, even a private performance of a dancing school in our villa, and the teacher explained afterwards for two hours all details to us. What an experience!
Thank you PVL, you saved our vacation. We'll be back soon.
