Daniel,

The USS Liberty wreck at Tulamban is a very easy shore dive (although it's a very rocky shore so make sure you take wet suit boots & fins and not the slip-on style fins or you'll never make it into the water). The wreck is not particularly spectacular in itself, but it is home to huge numbers of very large and very tame fish who are used to being fed. The ship is in 2 parts - one part in shallow enough water to attract snorkellers. The rest was about 60 feet I think. In high season try to arrive early in the morning or it can get a bit busy underwater!

We paid US$58 each with Baruna (including tanks, BCDs and regs) for a two-dive trip from Nusa Dua, but thats a very long way - I imagine it would be a good bit cheaper if you left from Lovina. It's probably also cheaper if you buy the package outside Nusa Dua. The Baruna equipment all seemed well-maintained by the way, but beware of large & disorganised dive groups - ours was too large and at least 2 of the party looked as though they had never dived before in their lives - lots of arm waving and unpredictable buoyancy. No-one checked our log books or PADI cards, so I guess its not very surprising.
