I took a boat trip in September from Lombok to Flores. We stopped at beautiful places along the way to snorkel. We paid 75,000Rp each,food included, 4 days, 3 nights, It was rather crowded and sleeping was not great but overall it was a good experience. We stopped at Rinca and Komodo for the day. You can go to Sumbawa by ferry but at that time you had to hire a boat to get to Komodo because the ferry service had ended. You can get from Flores to Sumbawa by ferry. Good luck.
