Just got back from Kuta, we stayed at Kartika which was excellent, a friend was staying at Santika at the same time, they said it was nice, we had a quick look and it looked good, small pools but nicely set out. As for the Monkey Forest I wish I hadn't bothered actually, full of mosquitos and very dirty, especially in the little streams.
