Just thought I'd throw in my opinion re the Jimbaren Beach restaurants. We looked forward to them after reading about them on the forum, but ... The good news is the shrimp (prawns?) were HUGE -- probably the biggest we'd ever seen. Several huge shrimp and one drink each came to 120,000 rupiah -- not as cheap as the lunches we had elsewhere, but okay. However, THERE ARE NO WASHROOMS. This proved very uncomfortable, since it took a while to get a taxi in the monsoon that sprung up while we were there. Also, we heard from two women at our hotel who stayed until clean up time that the hygiene leaves a lot to be desired. Personally, it was worth doing but not as good or cheap as I'd expected after reading the forum, and I wish I'd known about the washrooms ... so I'm telling you guys for your sakes.
