I arrived in Indonesia, well knowing I should use bottled water for brushing teeth etc, and honestly : I simply forgot, strange you know, when drinking tea I always asked if it had been boiled, but still I brushed my teeth with mandi water. Anyway, after 1 week I started being very careless, not intended to be, but it just happened as I liked the food a lot, so I started ordering juices all the time, and yes they were often mixed with ice, but still I had no problems. I had food at rumah makkan and at Warungs which were often of doutable hygiene, I started drinking tea which was not really hot so not sure if the water had been boiled, and you know what ? I got nothing !!! Everybody I met on the way had diarrhea and lost lots of kilo's, 2 people had even bene in hosplete dehydration problems and all I got was 5 kilo's extra because of all the food I'd been eaten.
So, I think it really depends on your stomach and how much you can have.
