If you go to Ubud, one nice centrally-located place to send and receive email is the Pondok Library next to the playing field (on the far side). They will save printed copies of mail you receive during your stay in town, and if you have to wait to use the system there are hundreds of books to read. A remarkably good selection, and they will buy and sell, so it's a great place to exchange reading material rather than lugging it back home.
