I definitely agree with Barbara, there are special bags for film so x-rays don't damage the rolls, unfortunately they're about 30 US dollars each. Also, it's true that you can buy film in Bali, but what are you going to do when your film is ready to develop? unless you develop it in Bali, you will have to return home with your undeveloped and unprotected film through x-rays... again, my advice, take the film with you in your bag, then when you go through customs tell the agents about your concerns with your film, show it to them... and that's it! I've always done that myself and always works! Actually on my next trip to Bali, that is this December I'm planning to take 30 rolls of film with me... Hope this helps!
