Thanks for your report about your Indonesian adventures. Very useful information. Especially for someone like myself who is about to go to Bali for the 1st time, but plans to go to Java sometime soon.
I agree with what you said about "proper attire". Visitors should really do some reading before they head off to a different country. Tourists should respect the ways of the country they are in. Especially a place like Bali that has a very religious background. Not only wear appropriate clothing in the temples, but around the towns/villages as well. (Try a little harder to blend in).
I hope I am not going to be dissappointed with the tourism that has taken over Bali. I know it will be quite comercialized, so I am prepared for that. I just hope it is not like going to Waikiki beach in Hawaii.
