take your time and don't be in a rush to see the next attraction. the Cadogan tour book is by far the best i've ever seen of Bali. Try to learn what little Indonesian you can. Many on Bali speak English, but the effort will be appreciated. It's an easy languague as it started out as a trade language. As far as where to go or what to do? Well you can hardly go wrong if you approach it with an open mind and some common sense. You probably will feel your time there has been too short when it's time to go home. Do travel beyond Kuta, if you're going to the trouble of flying to Bali inthe first place. It's actually a fun place, but two days max.
