Hello,
I've been searching info for my mom & dad-in-law who are arriving in Bali Nov. 5th. They've travelled most parts of the world, usually with their daypacks doing the bed/cottage & breakfast thing. I've sent(printed &mailed) them tons of info on money changing & assorted homestay places, however we're still trying to track down a place in Kuta for their first night there. They expect to find their own for the remainder 4 weeks around the other areas.
They are comfortable with remote, hard to find places, they have their own netting, if necessary. View, gardens, local people, double/queen bed, coffee, local food, beer/wine would be their prefered surroundings. (Sylvia doesn't get out of bed without a coffee) A separate bungalow or nonhotel dwelling is sought, tho if that's all that's available the first nite, they'll book. They are on a strict budget, are frugal travellers, so will need something under $30 US that night. (Is that in the 200,000 rph range?) If you folks have a spot in mind that they would just have to go, because it's perfect & peaceful & even romantic, but doesn't quite fit the $, could you let me know anyways.
My inlaws have hundreds of incredible photo albums filled with their travels to places like Cuba,Morocco,Nepal,Azures, everywhere. Some day our young family will explore outside of Canada, too. Their walls are adorned with enlargements of the flowers, food & scenes of the countries they've visited. They are very thankful of all the current information that's being shared by this forum, tho they don't have a computer themselves. They've taken their shots & are counting down the days.
Thanks for any insights you all may have to make their 50th anniversary trip
