1st visit was July 97 ,2nd visit was Sept 98 and loved the food even more , especially Nasi Campur which I describe as Bali version of a pommie "mixed grill" . (excellent at Bali Bird (and especially Reptile)Park = 1st class restaurant for the surroundings alone .......
What are the various bits and pieces arranged around the mound of rice
One or two of theses are obvious , like the satay sticks but some of the most interesting versions of this dish had many interesting portions .
First lets identifiy the possible surrounding portions
Great when there but what are the actual recipes ? Especially the nutty "sambal y" portions ...
All help greatly appreciated as in this way I can practice before I next visit
Also what might be "typical" menus - I suspect that Nasi Campur is a tourist special born out of "left overs" or as a "sampler" - great for tourists but I need some sign posts attached , please , (or just the initiative to to enquire at the time , but then I don't have "time" , pen and paper , or the language skills to discuss ....)
