Don't know your tastes in food but to me TJ's Mexican in Poppies Lane I is hard to beat for ambience, food and drinks. For local food try Made's Warung (the original and the best) or Glory's for an Indonesian buffet. La Lucciola is the place for Italian albeit expensive and requires booking. If vegetarian is your go, Aroma's on Jalan Legian. As you can see there is quite a choice and many more besides.
One bar not to miss is the late night spot, Gado Gado, right on the beach at Seminyak. It is absolutely fantastic sitting on the stone paved terrace, drink in hand, watching the surf roll in under the moonlight and stars.
