Kathleen:

In Ubud, there are about 10 small inns on Jalan Bisma. It's a small road off Jalan Raya. Miro's Restaurant is at the intersection of Bisma and Raya. I stayed at the Juwita Inn. It was nice, clean and inexpensive (about US $10/night with breakfast). No pool, no aircon, no phone and no TV. However, the temperature was fine inside and it had an electric fan. Breakfast on the front porch each morning was excellent anbd the Indonesian inn workers were very nice. In fact, I hired one for a trip to Lake Batur. I spoke to a single traveler who stayed at the inn next door and she was pleased with her stay as well.

Well worth a look.

Keith.
