The Rupiah is getting stronger every day (now about 10% up from yesterday). Right now you don't get more than 6,700 Rupiah for one USD and 4,250 Rupiah for one AUD. For other rates and the daily up-date visit the link below.
Whether this is good for the Indonesian people is an open question; Rupiah prices do not seem to go down, exporters will have difficulties to sell their goods at the new rates, and tourists will spend and tip less generously.
At the current rate Bali is still cheap for foreign visitors but not incredibly cheap any more. But everybody knew that the unreal situation we saw during the past 6 - 8 months had to end one day.
