I too am an Australian who travels to Bali regularly with my family, and I am always disappointed that we are lumped together with the bad behaviour of a few idiotic Aussies who insist on showing us up as uncivilised neanderthals. Most Aussies are friendly, easy going, fun loving but polite and considerate of other peoples feelings and only wish others could see that we are not all the same. Unfortunately, it is the loud and offensive ones that attract all the attention. I, too would like to apologize for this disgraceful behaviour, and hope that the Balinese and others don't hold it against the rest of us, as we too find it despicable.
