I hope your fears prove wrong.

I really do.
I have followed my heart with men from other countries and though money has never been involved, I often questioned whether or not I was doing the right thing (regarding sacrificing my graduate education, not getting the type of job that I had studied for in Britain, not being with my family when I had the chance - my Mother died whilst I was living abroad), but the truth is, most things you can only be sure of in retrospect.

I have many regrets but I also have pride in the way I have developed as a person - most of which I wouldn't have been able to do without taking certain chances.
The biggest chance of all, I'm planning to marry a Japanese and live here in Japan for the rest of my life - I hope.

My only advise is to do what feels right and stop when deep down it feels wrong - it's easy to try to hold onto something long after it's gone.

Good luck, sincerely.
