It will be a great holiday for you and the family. As to where to stay - take a dart and throw it at a picture of Bali and you will also be close to dozens of options. It all depends on your budget - which is an obvious thing to work out well before you go on holiday. Do you want airconditioning? (Recommended) A flush loo? (Also recommended) A roof? (optional but necessary if you haver aircon) The easiest place for the kids to indulge in their surfing desires is if you stay in Kuta. Then the kids can trundle across the road to the beach whuilst you curl up at the bar at the Hard Rock Cafe. I recommend the Intan Bali Cottages - very clean tidy, TV etc and a great family place.
