Hey, Anonymous???, its Sucker? here. I hear ya. Im guessing the truth is gonna be pretty hard to weed out of situations like these, huh? I like the words that Tina and jg gave.
We all do things to get what we want or need, sometimes more consciously and sometimes less. I was really pissed for a while that maybe this girl just took me for my money, but then I realized in reflecting on it that it wasn't an artificial relationship, it was real. Even if money was something that I could provide her with, I don't think that it was money that was the reason or basis of it, we had a real connection and communication. Likewise, I, honestly, from the beginning, had hoped for a "vacation romance". I guess one could argue that that is not as genuine as some other types. But that doesn't mean that I didn't have true feelings, and truly care about her (still do). If you look at the different angles you can go crazy, but you can also try to see life from someone else's perspective. YOU know, its a different life in Indonesia. Take it easy on yourself and as one of these other people said, "don't torture yourself" and "you never know, maybe she was telling the truth", even if it is more complicated then other relationships. Isn't that one of the interesting things about it? Cheers
