yeah... from what I have heard (please correct me if I am wrong... as I often am) but the dogs are supposedly possessed by evil spirits... and this explains why they often eat the offerings left out by the local people for the evil spirits... my suspicions lead me to believe that another reason they problerly eat the offering is because they are bloody hungry. It is a little hard not feel at least a little sorry for them, as manegy as they may be...
