We stayed at both hotels and both are excellent.
The Watergarden in Candi Dasa is the most romantic hotel we have ever seen. Each bungalow is surrounded by water with hundreds of fishes, the garden is more than just nice, the stuff very friendly. You can take your breakfast on your own terrace together with the always hungry fishes. Oh, it is soooo fantastic........
Also we have been in Sol Lovina. We booked a deluxe room but have been upgraded to a private villa without surcharge. Sol Lovina is much bigger than The Watergarden but never fully booked. They have a nice pool, clean rooms. The stuff is very friendly, but sometimes they have language problems. We had dinner outside, because it is much cheaper. Just walk 3 minutes at the beach and you will find a very nice restaurant directly at the sea. The sundown is wonderful and the food and drinks also.
All together both hotels are a good choice. We will come back.
