Rain, beaches and "drying out"

As Paul noted, it WILL rain on you, though I don't agree with the thought that you will dry out quickly. My experience in tropical wet seasons (though not in Bali, mind you) is that the humidity and rain keep you continually damp (rain wetness is replaced by sweat). Opportunities to dry out usually only come with air conditioners, since they act to drop the humidity in a room. If you are currently planning to stay in a room w/o AC, you might want to reconsider unless you are accustomed to sleeping while sweating.

As for the timing of rain, expect morning and (particularly) late a'noon/evening showers and thunderstorms that can drop serious amounts of rain.

Just curious, if you are looking for a "beach vacation" why did you choose to go all the way to Bali? There are dozens of places with better beaches that would require much less travel time and expense to get to.
