We just got back from 5 great days which were made better by a great driver. We stayed at the Risata Bali Resort (package deal for first timers) and he works there. His name is Komang Cedig. He his an excellent driver and all-round great young man. We found it was best to deal directly with him rather than the hotel tour desk if possible.

P.S. Our package started with a 1/2 day shopping tour with a large tour operation. The next day they were not working because of the political "congress" and the day after that the guide was off for a wedding. Then they were surprised when we made other arrangements.
