Sorry to frighten you Annette. Our major problem with the Dynasty was that it wasn't what it said it was. No kids club, No beachfront, not recently refurbished - not our room anyway.
Insist on a room on level one (ground) or two, NOT three because it is too hot and the airconditioning can't cope.
If you get the chance, switch the air conditioning off for a couple of hours every couple of days. I'm only guessing but I think this will stop it icing up. The unit has a louvre that directs the air higher or lower. Set it at about 45 degrees and it seems to work better. Make sure you do not leave any thing under any part of the unit in case it decides to "rain".
Use the room safe, it is easy and the thefts seem to be pretty serious.
They have a hospitality room arrangement for the day you leave which is very good. All the staff we dealt with were VERY good. Without doubt the best I've dealt with in Bali.
If you want to buy a watch, go down the lane to the beach and look for "Jimmy Barnes". You'll get what you pay for with him.
Take a Frig bag or similar with you and take your drinks down to the pool, the prices to buy them there are outrageous but food isn't too bad.
The photo shop just at the entrance is great - give proof sheets as well, also a good money changer and the mini mart (Kartika Dewata??) next door is terrific.
Have fun. Your impression may be completely different from ours depending on the ages of the people you're going with.
CASE!
